Chris Davies- Key Grip

Chris has been in the film industry since 1988 with many years experience as a Key Grip, Rigging Grip, Camera and Remote Crane Operator on a range of Film, TV and Commercial productions both in Australia and overseas.

Chris has been an avid photographer since the tender age of fourteen. After graduating from High School in 1987, Chris secured a job at Samuelson Film Service whilst simultaneously studying Film Production at North Sydney TAFE. This background provides a holistic understanding of the film production process, which allows Chris to put his experience and skills to the best possible use for the respective project. As a trained camera operator with work experience in the gripping and camera department he is familiar with the intricacies of cinematography and lighting and able to provide the best possible service required.

In 1991 Chris founded his company Flying Gecko and began his freelance career working as a camera assistant and cameraman. Chris specialised in remote camera crane operation and the provision of high quality gripping equipment and services. His company Flying Gecko offers an extensive range of dollys, cranes and gripping accessories as well as highly trained and experienced operators.
